She was predeceased by: her parents, William Surlester Lawrence and Alice Bryant Lawrence; her husband Phillip A. Hines of Chesapeake, Virginia; her siblings, Charles S. Lawrence and Mamie Lee Ratliff; and her brother-in-law Robert Ratliff.
She is survived by: her cousin Mary Elizabeth Corprew; her sisters, Sylvia Jerry of Millington and Marian Jackson; her brother-in-law Glenn Jackson of Orlando, Florida; her brother William T. Lawrence; her sister-in-law Regina Lawrence of Chesapeake, Virginia; and her siblings' children, Diane Belle (Terry), Darlene Ratliff, Bernard Jerry (Stephanie), Nina Lawrence, Anita Rodgers (Micah), Adrienne Jerry-Poitier (Trevor), Sherri Edmonds (Brian), Kathy Prince (Jonathan), Paul Lawrence, Teresa Lawrence, Kisha Brown (Jackson) and Tynisha Lawrence. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
