He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl James Mace and Ruth Derring Spratley; his brothers, Earl, Jr., Bernard and William Mace; and his niece Margie Dean Robins (Ray).
He is survived by: his niece Joanne Deveney (Michael); his nephew William Mace, Jr. (Mary); his great-niece Denise Robins Hudson; his great-nephew Brian Robins; his children, Liam, Abigail and Melissa Deveney; his grandson Alexander Gorchynsky; and his children, Mary Beth Mace, Shannon Mace, Daniel Hudson, Briana Hudson, Lucas Robins and Mason Robins.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Christ and St. Luke's Church (560 W Olney Rd, Norfolk, VA 23507). A burial was held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Waverly Cemetery (248 Spring Branch Rd, Waverly, VA 23890).
