He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Hoffius (James) and Cheryl Eavenson (Brad); his grandchildren, Steven Hoffius (Jessica Grey), Kerri Hoffius and Sarah Leon (Eric); his great grandchild Evan; his brother-in-law Eugene Smelser (Tyna); his niece Lisa Hernandez (Rhoneil); his nephew Brian Smelser; his great-niece Rachel Hernandez; and his great-nephew Silas Hernandez.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you wear your silliest hat or t-shirt in David's honor—because if there's one thing he taught us, it's that life is too short not to laugh.
