He is survived by: his wife Virgie Gregory Dodge; his son James Herbert Dodge Jr. (Kathy); his stepchildren, William Gerstein (Cristi), James Gerstein (Andrea), Brandi Myers (Michelle Flordeliz) and Leslie Biondolillo (Gabriele); his grandchildren, Alisa Bolig (Bob), Sydney Gerstein, Jada Myers, Mallory Gerstein, Ciara Gerstein, Mackenzie Gerstein, Elijah Myers and Nicol Roberts; and his caregiver Kristi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Graham Funeral Home (1112 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23320). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Riverside Memorial Park (1000 E Indian River Rd, Norfolk, VA 23523).
Donations in honor of Herb can be made to the VCU Kevin Michael Dodge Memorial Scholarship Fund (MCV Foundation), or the 82nd Airborne Association in his memory.
