He is survived by: his siblings, Aidan, Harry, Martin, Colm and Mairéad McCaul; his daughter Meghan Murray of Norfolk, VA; his grandchildren, Alexis McGurn, Benjamin, Cora and Daniel Viveiros; his son Colin Murray (Dana Borrelli-Murray) of Cranston, RI; and his grandchildren, Scout, Declan, Bess and Angel.
Known for his occasional though sharp wit, James will be remembered for his contributions to the community and his love for his family.
