With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Slade (Norfolk, Virginia), born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on April 17, 2023 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Samuel D. Slade Sr.; his siblings, William Tillery (Bobby), Arkue Bradley, Donald Bradley, Samuel Slade Jr. and Carolyn Moore; and his nephews, Arkue Alonzo and Christopher Etheridge.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn, Latosha Riddick, Ernest, Mario, Damien, Tanesha, Chevelle Parker and Antoine McCrary; and his siblings, Louise Bradley, Shirley Slade, Snody Slade (Rebecca) and Augustus Slade (Wanda). He is also survived by Eight nieces and 10 nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
