She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Scott and Kathleen Scott. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Cargill; her siblings, Margaret "Peggy" Grant and Lee Scott (Mary); her daughters, Tamara Gibbs (Dennis), Debra Bowden (Kevin), Kristen Cargill, Karen Bates (William) and Katherine Cargill-Willis (Henry); her grandchildren, Kathleen (Eric), Emily (James), Connor (Alexa), Tyler (Brianna), William, Benjamin, Candace and Max; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Dylan and Holden; and her pets, Misty, Bella and Twinkle.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norfolk Chapel (1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23517). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (8100 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505).
