She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Whitehurst and Lillian Whitehurst; her husband Scott; and her son James Lawrence "Larry" McBride. She is survived by: her sons, Gary McBride (Joy) of Harrisonburg and Wayne McBride of Norfolk; her daughter-in-law Debbie Martini (Chris) of Virginia Beach; her stepdaughters, Susan Peters and Sara DiCesare; her sister Peggy Kee (Joe) of Chesapeake; her granddaughter Rebecca Cowan; and her friend Carolyn Morrison. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
