He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Carlton Bowman and Myrtle Mae Osmore. He is survived by: his wife Melodee Bowman; and his children, John C. Bowman of Norfolk, Melody Swann (Jeff) of Fallbrook, CA, Shelly Murphy of Corapeake, NC, Missy Knight (Tom) of Hertford, NC and Becky Riley (James) of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
