He was predeceased by: his parents, Otelia E. Turner and Johnny F. Wilson; and his sisters, Geraldine Turner, Minnie Turner-Malone and Delora Turner-Gibbs.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Moore-Turner of Salisbury, VA; his children, Johnnie R. Turner, Jr. and Lakeshia A. Turner of Salisbury, VA; his siblings, Christine O. Turner of Norfolk, VA, Diane O. Turner of Norfolk, VA, Albert L. Turner (Linda) of Norfolk, VA, Randolph Turner (Cynthia) of Chesapeake, VA and Leroy Turner of Chesapeake, VA; and his friend Lisa Artis-Billups (Ronald). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
