He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Edward Mays Jr. and Ruby Stanley. He was also cherished by his four siblings, his aunt, and a countless circle of friends.

Johnny's family asks that memorial donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research, in the hope that others might have more time with the people they love.
