It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Ballance (Norfolk, Virginia), born in Pine Level, North Carolina, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Daughtry and Jennie Wiggs Daughtry; her spouse Selby; and her siblings, Jean Allen and Billy Daughtry.

She is survived by: her children, Ricky Ballance, Jeff Ballance (Laura) and Mary Ellen Maloney; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Yale, Keith (Heather), Kendal Rose (Drew), Matthew and George; her great grandchild Tatum; and her brother Tommy Daughtry. She is also survived by friends, and watching her grandchildren.
