She is survived by: her husband James Daniel; her adoptive children, Crystal Jacob and Alton Dickson; her siblings, William L. Selden III, Carolyn S. Walker and Thomas C. Selden; and her nieces and nephews, Carlos Lopez, Lisa Walker, Shena, Watkins, Charita Selden, Jeneen Selden, Robert Selden II, LaKeya Selden and Kimberly Selen. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Joyce was known for her philanthropic contributions to both her former college and church, which she loved dearly.
