He was predeceased by: his parents, Deborah A. Gilbert and Charles Gilbert, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Tinika Gilbert; his children, Lamarr Gilbert, Jr. and Catianna Pettaway; his grandson Zi'ale Collins; his siblings, Charles Gilbert II and Sakinah Abdus-Salaam; his niece Cheyenne Gilbert; his aunt Dornella Wade; Deborah Gilbert. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
