She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacqueline Knight (Stevenson) and Thomas Yates. She is survived by: her friend Rev. Ronnie Culley; her children, Antwan Yates (Xenia), Shawn Jones, Kala Doss (Michael) and Cameron Carr; and her siblings, Thomas Yates (Patricia), Anthony "Tony" Yates (Hattie) and Denise Joe. She is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
