Lisa Ann Sampson Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman McLendon and Sadie Bernice Lindsey McLendon; her brothers, Benjamin, Johnny, Grant and Robert; her brother-in-law Jerry Polk; and her niece Karen.

She is survived by: her daughter Kai'eshia Cole (Kai') of Norfolk, VA; her siblings, Gloria Polk of Marshville, N. C., Sara Butler (Dennis) of Monroe, N. C., Mable McLendon, Sherman McLendon, Jr. (Sandy) of Coates and Ruben; Marcus Sampson. She is also survived by 16 nieces, 10 nephews, and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502).

Lisa requested that all guests wear green (It was her favorite color), and instead of flowers make a small donation of twenty dollars, which will be donated to her favorite charity (Heart Association, Cancer Society, Brain Institute, Arthritis Foundation, March of dime, and the Salvation Army).
