As Marcus departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marcus. Though Marcus may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus E. Boykins, Sr. and Doris Mae Boykins. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Boykins; his sons, Marcus Barnes, David Boykins and Isaac Boykins; and his siblings, Glenn Boykins, Mac Boykins, Vernell Lamb and Mary Boykins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (120 W Berkley Ave, Norfolk, VA 23523). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
