She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Thornton and Rosa Stallings Thornton; her husband Barney Bright; and her siblings, Geraldine Hunt, Donnie Ruth Lane, Evelyn Jenkins, Herbert Thornton, F. B. Thornton and Jerry Mac Thornton.

She is survived by: her siblings, Gene Thornton, Louise Mozingo and Betty Lee Starbuck. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
