She was predeceased by: her parents, David Potts and Beatrice Potts-Hunt; her husband Charles Payne, Sr.; and her child Donta Payne. She is survived by: her granddaughter Tashunia; her siblings, Alfreda Lambert and Marion Potts; and her children, Roxanne Potts, Shelly Potts, Charyl Payne, Daryl E. Potts, Sr., Charles Payne, Jr. and Lionell Payne. She is also survived by grandchildren (18), great-grandchildren (36), great-great-grandchildren (1), nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The foundation of her faith and spirit is reflected in this scripture, "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is love.".
