He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Padgett and Hazel Padgett; his sister Connie; his stepfather Leo; his brother Archie; his son Major Jr.; his son-in-law Richard; his uncle Gurk; and his extended family, Mary, Tom, Phyllis and Said.

He is survived by: his children, Colleen, Marc (Nicole) and Natalie (Matt); his grandchildren, Fred, Samantha, Gabrielle (Kenji), Ashley, Dawson, Liam and Noah; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Ren and Ellie; his siblings, Rodger Sr. (Vivian) and Theresa (Richard); his nephews, Rodger Jr. (Alicia) and Christopher (Samantha); and his uncle James.
