It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melinda Thomas (Norfolk, Virginia), who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Turner and Arthur Skinner; and her siblings, Deanna Brickhouse, Barbara Woods, Yusef Abdullah and Dennis Skinner.
She is survived by: her children, Kenny Spencer (Wendy) of Indianapolis and April Aponte of Virginia Beach; her siblings, Josie Hawkins, Evangeline Skinner, Rickey and Teddy Skinner; her sister-in-law Diane Outlaw; her grandchildren, Jamel Spencer, Jazmine Spencer, Jaylen Clark and Bailee Spencer; and her great grandchildren, Jordan Spencer, Jaire Spencer and Amir Spencer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
