We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2025, Melissa Jester of Norfolk, Virginia, born in Chincoteague, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bonnie Jester and Wayne Jester; and her grandparents, Hilda, Rooker Farlow, Opal and Lyle Jester.

She is survived by: her fiancé Bart Gaskins; her sister Beverly Jester; her sister-in-law Terry Wilson-Jester; her aunt Barbara Jester; and her cousins, Melinda, Karl, Michelle, Denise, Amanda and Faith Ann.

A reception will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Loving Funeral Home (3225 Academy Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23703).

Contributions may be made to https://www.featherfund.net., a nonprofit fund assisting deserving children with the purchase of Chincoteague Ponies.
