He was predeceased by: his father Leslie Thurman Johnson. He is survived by: his mother Carol Ann Hernandez; his wife Lisa; his daughter Carrington; his sisters, Lisa Morrow, Julie Winkler and Sherri Sinsel; and his in-laws, Jerry, Judi McCubbins, Godfrey and Debbie Grier. He is also survived by his extended family; and the many relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club (1005 Hampton Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23505).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Mike's memory to consider a donation to Ocean Conservancy, reflecting his lifelong love of the water and the outdoors, or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), supporting research and families affected by pancreatic cancer.
