She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Roberts and Dora Laughinghouse; her husband Bishop Clarence Gatlin, Sr.; her daughter Deborah Daulphine Gatlin; her grandsons, Dawan Gatlin (Bookie) and Maurice Waters; her son Reginald Gatlin; and her siblings, Mary Simmons and Carlton Roberts.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, LaTonya Briggins (Jeffrey), Demetrices Waters, Melwood Waters, LaToya Benjamin, Darrell Gatlin (Myrlene), Corey Gatlin, Sr. (Chizoba), Marshelle Gatlin, Deon Smith, Andre Ellis, Ayrika Ellis, Yolaina Ellis-Bartholomew (Derron), Tumika Parker, Elroy Hines, Tamara Francis (James) and Tiara Hines; her siblings, Phyllis Scott, Angela Young, Louise Mullen and Jackie Roberts; and her in-laws, Evangelist Gladys Wilson of Suffolk, VA, Minister Craig Speller of Norfolk, VA and Superintendent Johnny Gatlin (Chavar). She is also survived by thirty-eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
