She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Ella Cobb and William Henry Cobb; and her siblings, William Cobb, James Freeman Cobb, Elbert "Carroll" Cobb, Loretta Cobb and Harold Cobb.

She is survived by: her son Gregory Thomas; her grandchildren, Tanisha Urquhart, Brandon Thomas and Mason Thomas (Antwonique); her great grandchildren, Kennedy Urquhart, Addison Urquhart, Madison Thomas and Nova Thomas; her close friend Gwendolyn Sarvis; and her nieces and nephews, Sandra Mateen, Gayle Cobbs, Rodrick Sarvis, Brian Sarvis, Chyennesia Griffin, Patricia Bratton, Diana White, Char Allen, Dr. Annie Perkins, Eva Hendrick, Reverend Roma Hall, Terri Shorter, Jimmy, Kathy Young and BeShala Whaley. She is also survived by extended family and dear friends.

Even during the global pandemic, she embraced new learning, mastering virtual platforms such as Zoom with determination and grace.
