She was predeceased by: her parents, Hammie T. Marcus Sr. and Rosa L. Marcus; and her siblings, Clarence Sansbury, Hammie T. Marcus Jr., Rosa B. Marcus, Maggie M. Allen and Louise Taylor.

She is survived by: her brother Willie J. Marcus (Effie) of Norfolk; and her friend Edna Rogers. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces; great-great nephews and nieces and great-great-great nephews and nieces, cousins.
