She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Otey and Thomas Otey. She is survived by: her granddaughter Joy; her husband Elijah Vaughan; her son Philip Vaughan; her siblings, Karen Otey Parker (Dwight), Thomas H Otey IV "Tony" and Kevin D. Otey; and her aunts, Helen and Debra. She is also survived by children, grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
