He was predeceased by: his parents, George Cox and Kathryn Cox; his siblings, Michael J. Cox and Jean-Mairee Vigneault; and his nephew Mike Cox.
He is survived by: his daughter Darby Jones of St. Petersburg; and his brother George Cox, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.
