He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Davis and Mary I. Parker; and his siblings, Joyce Hunt, Sandra Maynard and George Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Davis; his son Rodney Davis; his grandchildren, Daniel Davis (Katarina), Olivia Davis and Elyssa Davis; and his children, Renee Coles, Lawrence Coles, Kevin Coles, Shawn Coles, Lyle Coles (Sandra) and Lori Vann (Aaron). He is also survived by grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (Morrison) (12720 Patrick Henry Dr, Newport News, VA 23602).
