He is survived by: his wife Catherine Spencer; his son Christopher (Shanta); his grandchildren, Kevin of Maricopa, Kentrel Gardner of Norfolk, Anthony Nault of Newport News, Charisma Ellis of Newport News and Shantia Gardner of Norfolk, Virginia; his nieces, Dr. Latisha Webb (William) and Gwendolyn Boddie (Calvin); and his sisters-in-law, Audrey Gardner of Norfolk, Betty Gardner of Virginia Beach, Special and Esther Ricks (Gwen Spencer) of Dallas. He is also survived by four great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.
