He is survived by: his children, Mike (Kathy), Linda Cotterell (Dewey), Rose Carreiro (David) and Scott (Rhonda). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norfolk Chapel (1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23517). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (6400 Newport Ave, Norfolk, VA 23505).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
