She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Johnson and Carolyn Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Keith Thompson; her sons, Nathan Haywood (Beth) of Virginia Beach and Jason Haywood (Rachel) of Chesapeake; her stepson Michael Thompson (Amy) of Palm Coast, Florida.; her grandchildren, Lily, Sean, Kayleigh, Autumn, Blake, Andrew and Emily; and her sisters, Cathy Thompson (Karl) and Cindy Payne (Chuck). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
