She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lee and Eva H. Joynes; her husband Clarence T. Lawton; and her siblings, Mildred Winston, Doris E. Robinson, Nira H. Spencer, William D. Joynes, Harry L. Joynes, Jr., Abrom Bernard Joynes and Leonard M. Joynes.
She is survived by: her son Cleon T. Lawton (Cheryl) of Suffolk, VA; her grandchildren, Jordan T. of Suffolk, VA, Erica D. of Newport News, VA and Devin A. of Ashburn, VA; and her sisters-in-law, Mamie Joynes of California and Rudell W. Joynes of Norfolk, VA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
