It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Teresa M. Diederichs (Norfolk, Virginia), born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on August 12, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin Mapes and Margaret Mapes; her siblings, Deanne Butler and Olin James Mapes; and her niece Meredith Butler.

She is survived by: her husband Jacob Diederichs, Jr.; her sons, Jacob N. Diederichs and Arnold A. Diederichs; her sister Yvonne Hawkins; her nieces and nephews, John Hawkins, Jr., Randy Butler, Jennifer Merritt and Allison Butler; her great-nephew Jacob Hawkins, Jr.; and her great-niece Amber Hawkins. She is also survived by several extended family members and good friends.
