He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Odell "Red" Fant, Sr. and Lanette Elizabeth "Smitty" Smith Fant; his grandmother Ruby "Bubba" Hopkins; and his brothers, Earl, Michael and Lester Jr. Tom.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Chris and Amy (Matt Tanana); his daughter-in-law Susan (Don Argus); his grandsons, Thomas (Kenny Nelson) and Christopher (Makayla Fant); his great grandchild Camryn; his granddaughter Fallon (Pierce Turner); and his siblings, Sissy, Gregory, Terri and Michelle. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Norfolk Chapel (1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23517). Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Hugh R Copeland Center (112 W Wilson Ave, Norfolk, VA 23510).
