He is survived by: his son Ashanti Perry of Grand Rapids, MI; and his siblings, Jeff Sims of Grand Rapids, MI, Steve Sims of Grand Rapids, MI, Dwayne Sims of Grand Rapids, MI, Michael Sims of Dallas, TX and Carolyn House of Grand Rapids, MI. He is also survived by her three sons; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Berkley Chapel (120 W Berkley Ave, Norfolk, VA 23523). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
