She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Clifton Whitehead and Letha Moore Whitehead; her husband William Meade Satterfield, Jr.; her sons, William Meade Satterfield III and Mark Alan Satterfield; and her siblings, Hugh Whitehead, Russel Whitehead, Alvis Whitehead, Gaynelle Williamson, Eldred Floyd and Audrey Williams.

She is survived by: her daughter Linda Satterfield McKee (Harold); and her sister Barbara Hogwood of Norfolk, Virginia. She is also survived by three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
