We announce the death of Ester Wood of North Garden, Virginia, who passed away on October 26, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas P. Hudson and Agnes Clements Hudson; and her siblings, Sam, Early Hudson, Ruby Amiss, Judy Moses, Emma Young and Mabel Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Leroy Wood of North Garden; her sister Pat NeSmith of Snellville, GA; and her friend Charlotte Tomlin.
Viewing will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home (201 1st St S, Charlottesville, VA 22902). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holly Memorial Gardens (3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22911).
