Alverta Beavers Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alverta Beavers of North Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on August 10, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Frazier Stevenson and Virgie Hunnell Stevenson; her former husband Everett Paul Sutherland; her husband George I. Beavers; her son Michael Wayne Sutherland; and her siblings, Claude Stevenson, Irene Farmer and Jane Hill.

She is survived by: her children, James Sutherland (Becky) of Cookeville, TN, Raymond Sutherland (Patsy) of Moneta, VA. and Judy Curry (Ronnie) of Colonial Heights, VA; and her sisters, Mary Webb of Dundee and Minnie Piper of Montgomery, AL. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
