She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sturdivant and Helen Crigger Sturdivant; her brother George Albert Sturdivant; and her grandson Cole Proffitt. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Proffitt of North Tazewell, VA; her son Timothy Edward Proffitt (Tracy) of Manheim, PA; her granddaughter Jenna Proffitt Almodovar (Devon) of Manheim, PA; her great grandchildren, Zayden, Taelynn and Rhenlynn Almodovar; her brother-in-law Garland Proffitt (Carroll) of Blountville, TN; and her sibling's children, Malinda Cannaday (Doug), Tina Bowman, Pam Wilson (Darren), Tamera Harrell, George and Coy Proffitt.
