He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Culp Hunter, Sr. and Mildred Leona Hedstron Hunter; his former wife Barbara M. Walor Hunter; his wife Lula Mae Hunter; and his sister Rhetta Jane Lunstrom.
He is survived by: his children, Mark F. Hunter (Tanya) of Portsmouth, VA, Eric T. Hunter (Patte) of Clearfield, PA, Mary Jane Hunter Lindsey (Andy) of Portsmouth, VA and Lisa M. Conner of Richmond, VA; his sisters-in-law, Gerri Hankins of Thompson Valley, VA, Pearline Murray of North Tazewell, VA and Pauline Eskut of Cleveland, OH; his niece Kitty; his nephew Mike Murray of North Tazewell, VA.; and his close friends, Karla B. and Dr. Warren K. K. Frey. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
