He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hobbs Boyce; his daughters, Cassie Matney (Brent) of Tazewell, VA and Amy Fout (Jason) of Smithsburg, MD; his brother Jamie Boyce of Buckhanon, WV; his grandchildren, Gergory Carter (Lexie) of Tazewell, VA, Rachael Carter of Radford, VA, Kristen Espinosa (Francisco), Emily Proffitt and Matthew Proffitt; and his great grandchildren, Makinzy, Scott, Aria and Liam.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Riverside Community Church (290 Riverside Dr, North Tazewell, VA 24630). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
