He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Goodman Harris; his son Carl D. Harris, Jr.; his parents, Adrian D. Harris and Beatrice Harris; his brother Marion T. Harris; and his grandson Kyle E. Harris.

He is survived by: his daughter Sherry H. Rowe (Larry); his siblings, Brenda Guerrero (Cres) and C. Gregg Harris (Barbara); and his grandchildren, Derek A. Rowe, Brandon R. Harris, Allison R. Slaughter, Amy R. Piedra and Patrick W. Rowe. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
