He was predeceased by: his parents, Tempie Moon and John Thomas Moon; his daughter Susan; and his half-sisters, Lorene McCaslin, Ruby Gibson and Lucille Mason.
He is survived by: his son David Moon (Cindy); his grandchildren, Tara Crites (Alan), Ryan Couch (Kim), Tiffany Couch, Jared Moon, Bryson Moon (Princess) and Brandi Thomas (Chris); and his siblings, Max Moon of Florida and Phyllis Cannon of Texas. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Clover Hill Baptist Church (3100 Old Courthouse Rd, North Chesterfield, VA 23236). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
