He is survived by : his wife Joyce Rose Fields; his son Carl Dean Fields (Susan) of Wise, Virginia; his siblings, Betty Gooch (Bill) of Arkansas and Bobby Fields of Aurora, Illinois; and his close friends, Gene Underwood, Gary Bartley and Danny C. Mullins. He is also survived by five nieces.
