She was predeceased by: her parents, Burton (Etta Connor) and Carol; her husband James Ray "Hoppy" Hopkins, Sr.; and her son James Ray "Cricket" Hopkins, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Duffie (Mike) of Panama City, FL, Janet Conner (Mark) of Norton, VA and Karen Kommes (Chris) of Johnson City, TN; her daughter-in-law Natysha Hopkins of Gray, TN; her siblings, Beverly Muller of Coram, NY, Burt Connor (Paula) of Williamsburg, VA and Kevin Connor (Debbie) of West Hempstead, NY.; her grandchildren, April Addison (Mike), Tim Adams (Sundy), Brooke DeHart (Garret), Colin Duffie, Ryan Kommes and Caitlin Osgood (Spencer); and her great grandchildren, Peyton, Emma Addison, Savannah, Sofia Adams, Adley, Sailor DeHart, Calvert, Kendall Duffie, Calvin, Chandler Le, Jaxx and Ellacate Osgood. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of VA, PO Box 349, Norton, VA 24273 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to continuing Carol's lifelong mission of helping others grow and thrive.
