He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Brooks and Sarah Horner Brooks; his brother Michael Brooks; and his daughter Jennie Brooks Estep. He is survived by: his son Christopher Brooks of Norton, VA; his girlfriend Sandra Kinser; his girlfriend's son Michael Kinser of Norton, VA; his grandchildren, Patrick Brooks of Lawton, OK, Paige Estep and Megan Estep McFarland; and his siblings, Cindy Franklin of Norton, VA, Gene Brooks (Mary) of Johnson City, TN and Charlene Bates of Norton, VA. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home (956 Park Ave NW, Norton, VA 24273-1821). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM. A procession will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
