He is survived by: his wife Laverne Fleming Mitchell; his children, Melissa Sue Martin (Eric) and Ronald Brandon Mitchell (Becky); his grandchildren, Hailey Mitchell, Grayson Martin, Trenton Mitchell, Ronald Brandon Mitchell II and Brooklyn Edwards; his great grandchildren, Aster Thomas Yarbrough and Huntley Robert Hill; his siblings, Annette Skeens, Maebelle "Mae" Wise, Carlos Mitchell and Lester Mitchell; and his pet Savage. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
