With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Culbertson in Norton, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2025 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Oliver Phillips and Mildred Pauline Clark Phillips; her grandson Hunter Culbertson; and her sisters, Patricia Brickey, Louise Coffey and Mary Sue Phillips.
She is survived by: her husband Ray Culbertson of Norton, VA; her children, Allen Culbertson (Phyllis) of Norton, VA, Sherry Barnette (David) of Norton, VA, Thomas Culbertson (Sharon) of Wise, VA, Carolyn Rutherford (Cecil) of Norton, VA and Ben Culbertson of Norton, VA; her grandchildren, Bridgett Hart (Brad) of Norton, VA, Matthew Culbertson of Norton, VA, Abe Rutherford (Abbi) of Norton, VA, Brittany Chandler (Jon) of Norton, VA, Andrew Culbertson of Tacoma, WA, Brad Culbertson (Shae) of Wise, VA and Keriston Blevins (Zachary) of Clintwood, VA; and her siblings, Roxie Raleigh of Norton, VA, Christine Trigg of Norton, VA and James Phillips (Sheila) of Greenville, SC. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home (956 Park Ave NW, Norton, VA 24273-1821). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
