He is survived by: his wife Martha Owens Thacker of Norton, VA; his stepson Brian Tankersley (Crystal) of Kingsport, TN; his daughter Melissa of Kingsport, TN; his siblings, Wendell Thacker of Georgia and Christine Shupe (Vadis); his brother-in-law Dwight Owens (Tammy); his niece Kayla Owens Pilkenton; and his nephews, Tim Pilkenton, Grayson Pilkenton and Phillip Williams. He is also survived by two grandsons; two granddaughters; three great granddaughters.
